Knock on Wood

I knew when I was pregnant with my son that I wanted to choose children’s pieces thoughtfully. From clothing, to gear, to toys, I wanted a reflection of my personal style that would fit into my lifestyle and home without taking away from it.

Wood toys have come a long way!! You don’t want your precious angel sucking on inexpensive plastic leaching harmful chemicals like BPA into your baby.

GRIMMS is one of my all time favorite wood toy companies. Their bright colors are distinct and look great on any shelf. I have the flower stacker on my wanted list right now.

I adore KIKO wooden toys. They are too, too cute! We have the gumball machine, bag of stars and bubbles set!

MANHATTAN TOYS makes this geometric rattle of sorts with elastic between the corners with sliding beads and they’ve all three loved it !! Great first toy for babies because their super tiny hands can hold on to the string, when they shake it makes noise and it’s super lightweight.

JANOD is another classic. Lots of really great colors and unique games.

Playme toys are also divine. We have this topsy turvy wooden toy that both Scarlett and baby Elle have grown very fond. We also have a set of bells that not only look cute but the kids love!!

Bonpoint is my favorite store for the girls and they too have a great wooden circular rattle perfect for little hands.

Last but not least, Etsy is a great place to find one of a kind pieces usually made by fellow mothers. It is always fantastic when women can support other women!
